Rich idle problem.
« on: 03 Mar 2005 at 01:35 »
My 80 Plus is at the stage where I can see it is 'finished',  it just does not go very well!

The latest little problem to come to light is that the plugs foul up after about 3 minutes of idling.  The fouling is fuel, not oil,  in fact the plugs are quite wet.

I have screwed out the idle air screws  until they are almost loose on the springs and lowered the needles as far as possible.

The air cleaner is not fitted and the float valves do not appear to me leaking,  well not much anyway.

All to no avail.

P.S.  I received a New Conrod in the mail yesterday and I note a LDMCC member in Argentina has the same problem.
