kickstart lever and primary chaincase for S5/T6
« on: 05 Jan 2012 at 11:56 »
My brother is in the process of getting patterns made up to have these hard to find items cast, and was wondering if anyone else is interested in getting either of the items. He is quite confident of the quality of the castings, even to the extent of the spline in the kickstart lever. Obviously he hasn't got prices yet, and they will presumably depend on how many need to be cast up, though he thinks they should be quite reasonable. If anyone is interested in getting either of these items made please get in touch.
Cheers, Graeme

Graham,

For clarity is the primary the one over the clutch or the gear box? The casing over the clutch is cracked, so I could do with three depending on cost. I would also be interested in the price of the kick start lever.

Great idea

Regards Greg

Graeme,

You will want to clarify if it is the 3 or 4-speed box kick start lever you plan on replicating.

It's a 3 speed box Doug. The S6 my brother and his son are doing up is from 1930.

Hi Greg
The primary case is the large aluminium inner cover, behind the primary chain - it bolts to the crankcase.
Cheers Graeme

Graham,

My gear box is a 4 speed, I wasn't aware there was a difference in kick starts.

My inner primary cases are cracked for my 1932 T6 and D33, (both in different places) Does anyone know if the inner cases differ from year to year?

Thanks, Greg

Hi Graeme,

I would like a primary casting please. Are you also getting outer chaincases made?  As we discussed at the last Rally, mine is a 1930 S6 also.
You can google me, but I think you have my details
