Doug 3 1/2 or 4 hp box

Hello All.
 A nearby Douglas friend said that he had a strange set of cases he could not identify and he had a friend email some pics which obviously differ from the standard 4 hp cases I have previously seen. There seems to be no provision for a kickstart at the rear and can't see whether a dogbone for the lift mechanism on the clutch could fit. Without pouring through my literature I forward pics for comment.

Hi Alan
This must surely be a gearbox for the 3 1/2hp Model A - which had a 2 speed box with no clutch or kickstart. It is certainly different to the 3 1/2 or 4hp gearboxes I am familiar with.
