Mk 3 rear wheel removal ??

Hi all do you have to remove the rear subframe to take out the back wheel ? or am I doing somethig wrong it seems a pain by your self without help Regards Daren
too many dougli not enough time!

Hi Daren,

Nope you do not need to take rear sub-frame off to take the rear wheel out.  I usually either put some wood under the main stand to left the rear wheel off the ground or use a stand my other half has made which supports the frame & lifts the rear off the ground (do NOT use a stand to do this if you have woffle boxes or exhausts underneath- I have upswept exhausts).  Once the relevant parts are removed the rear wheel comes out.

Any problems just ask - I'm sure someone will guide you through it on this site.

As Dawn said the wheel should come out, But if you need a bit more room let the tyre down.
