Beaded edge rims
« on: 19 May 2010 at 16:29 »
Hi all,
Can anyone explain to me what measurement of beaded edge rims go with what size beaded edge tyre. As a novice at restoring pre war kit I understand wired on sizes but the beaded edge rim measurements don't appear to equate to a tyre size. I am rebuilding a 1927 EW350 and have an assortment of good BE rims but no tyres.
Cheers
Andrew

Hi Andrew

You asked me for details of a specialist wheel builder when we were at the Ben rally last Saturday. My pal, Brian says that he does beaded edge rims and thinks that he has the tolls for dimpling. His details are :-

Roger Dunster
29 Wolsey Crescent
Walton - on- Thames
Tel : 01932 224678

Cheers

Paul
