Does anyone have the specifications for the oil inlet valve spring for early 2 3/4 engines - Part number 424.   I have tried to order one from the club spares but apparently Jeff Swan is indisposed at the moment.

I am looking for a carburettor for veteran Douglas motorcycle engine-13651. Could you please help me with this?

Have you tried the new Drafts feature yet? I just lost a long message today and learned my lesson. It is a good idea to save a draft of any long post you are writing. You can then just keep writing and keep saving a draft, knowing you have a backup if there is a glitch. The draft is automatically deleted when you post the message.

Hello,

I have finished the restoration of my OC Douglas last weekend. I would like to thank you
for sending me technical specs and details so I was able to complete the bike.

I have added some pictures for you hereafter

PS: If someone is interrested - I have made a previous posting last year with the pictures of "before restoration"

Cheers / Martin

Martin, what a fantastic job you have done - it looks superb !! Will be interesting to see how clean the motor stays after its ridden a bit - mine gets very messy and is hard to keep clean. It looks great with the electrical system too.

A pity its so far away - would have been fun to have two OC's on the road at the same time !

Great effort Martin - the machine looks superb.
I'm interested to see that your machine not only has the electrical system fitted, but also has a centre stand. Obviously there were quite a few options on offer with this model.
Cheers, Graeme

One thing I noticed is that you have the breather directed towards the primary chain. I did this as well but found that it not only oiled the chain but the clutch as well. I redirected it to in front of the motor and just use chain lube !

Hi Ian,

thanks for the advice - I will modify this as well. I have just realised that the Douglas scottishman is missing on the primary
chainguard, I have the sticker already at home. The center stand is a later fit to the bike. No original Dougi part, but very practical.
