Douglas EW350 - 1926
« on: 09 May 2010 at 17:06 »
Hello,
I'm looking for the last missing component on my Douglas : the little nickel pipe (with his nut) underneath the mechanical pump (screw on the bottom of the engine) and who evacuate the oil outside.
Does someone have this spare part or knows where I can find one ?
Also, I'm looking too for the genuine riderbook and spare parts list.
Thank you for your help.
Michel.

Hi Michel, had the same problem with my EW.
Found the nut at auto-jumble and sorced the pipe from my local plummer.

Hello Michel,,
I made 2 Pictures for you, I estimate the pipe is about 500mm long and has an outer diameter of 6, 5 mm. The hex diam. of the Nut is about 1/2" (13 mm), it has the same threads as the carb float fitting!
Best regards,
Rudolf

Hello Rudolph,

Thanks a lot for pictures, it will be very useful. I'll go to an autojumble tomorrow, so do you know which thread is it: BSW, BSF, BSC or other ?

Have a nice afternoon.

Mihel.

I'm not sure but diameter of the threads seems to be 7/16". I can't measure the TPI

Thank you very much everybody for your advices and pictures.
I say particularly thank you to Pat Gormley who found and send to me the right nut and olive so difficult to find here on the continent.
I'll make the pipe before nickle plated and it will be fine.
