Ueli,

It is a DT5/SW5 frame. The Douglas forks have been replaced with Webbs. You will find the frame serial number on the left-hand side of the gearbox platform. It will have the prefix "TF" followed by three or four digits, and probably terminated with the Douglas superimposed "DK" trademark. This is sometimes mistaken as an extra digit.

Hello Doug
thanks for your exaxt answer. Isearch the nr. and it is TF 1185.  I have a Engine OE 738X to fit in but I dont know how difficult it will be to find all the missig parts to build a  SW5/6 spezial.
May I better search for a complet bike to buy.

Hi Ueli,

Unfortunately OE is the prefix for a model OB Douglas motor - 600cc OHV about 1924. It's difficult, but possible, to find parts for OHV Douglases from the 1920s. You will have to decide which way to go.

Best regards

Leon
