Dragonfly Oil Filter
« on: 24 Feb 2010 at 14:48 »
Hi

I purchased a new oil filter for my Dragonfly from Club Spares. The parts book shows two different part numbers for the felt washers at each end of the filter element. Can anyone tell me how you identify which is which. Certainly one of the washers supplied by club spares is slightly thicker than the other. Does it in fact matter which way round they are fitted? Any guidance will be appreciated

Hello Roy,
It doesn't matter which washer goes on which end - they both just make a seal between the element and the end plate.
                               Regards,
                                         Eddie.

Hi Eddie

Thanks for that. I couldn't see that it would make any difference which way they were fitted but thought it wise to check first.
