Does anyone have the specifications for the oil inlet valve spring for early 2 3/4 engines - Part number 424.   I have tried to order one from the club spares but apparently Jeff Swan is indisposed at the moment.

Have you tried the new Drafts feature yet? I just lost a long message today and learned my lesson. It is a good idea to save a draft of any long post you are writing. You can then just keep writing and keep saving a draft, knowing you have a backup if there is a glitch. The draft is automatically deleted when you post the message.

Hi. Can anyone recommend what size wired wheels and tyres would be best on a 1927 EW350.

     Many thanks, Colin.

Hi Colin,
I would go 3.oo--3.25 x 19in  and rims to suit

Hi Colin
An EW owner I know fitted what he described as BSA Bantam size rims and tyres. I think the rim size is WM1 x 19. You will need to ensure that piercing of the rim matches the EW hubs and numbers of spokes.   Chris.

Hi Colin

I think that you will need WM2 19 x 3.25 rims with 40 spokes per wheel. I have a 1932 350 cc A32 which is not too different from the EW. A good supplier is C. Wylde & Sons Tel: 0113 246 8888. and talk to Bob Wylde. The rear wheel may need a different rim - Italian - if the hub is narrow with a tapered spline for the brake drum and sprocket.

As you are in Guildford, you could pop up to me in Lightwater and see what has been done on my A 32. My phone number is 01276 471921.
