Does anyone have the specifications for the oil inlet valve spring for early 2 3/4 engines - Part number 424.   I have tried to order one from the club spares but apparently Jeff Swan is indisposed at the moment.

Have you tried the new Drafts feature yet? I just lost a long message today and learned my lesson. It is a good idea to save a draft of any long post you are writing. You can then just keep writing and keep saving a draft, knowing you have a backup if there is a glitch. The draft is automatically deleted when you post the message.

That darned t35 miss fireing saga.

ref; my 1948 t35 miss fires:  HAVE FOUND THE PROBLEM!  AT last, at last, talking to good old Erik Morley the other night, he reminded me of what i did'nt want to think abougt.  The valves!!.,c/head off this morning, there was the answer.  terribly worn valve guides allowing so much air through that no wonder it has been untuneable what ever i tried. The moral of this story is :- NEVER< BUT NEVER ever assume that things are ok  because  ITS been done!,OR it should be good ,beacause its new!     will have to do the other side now as i cant trust it .  If i can find new guides, it will be long time before i'm on the road again,      MANY Many thanks to all the members who have responded to my problem.  whenI first saw Erik Morley mk 5 ,i gave in to my longing for another, albeit over 50 yrs.. But i had no idea what a wonderful club i was joining.  George.S
