Yes Alan - I purchased the bike in the 1970's in a partly dismantled condition. A gearbox pinion was broken in three pieces, not having the facilities to mill a new one I turned a blank and hand made a gear with internal spline, heat treated it and has done many miles since reassembly - the gearbox was filled with a grease/oil/graphite mixture. This bike was the first Historic registration number `100 ' in Queensland.
The trip down to MossVale for the rally has renewed my enthusiasm to fix the engine problems and have it mobile again.
