Paul,

Did you fit the cylinders and heads from a 1934-35 model, or machine the crankcase flat on the bottom to fit the entire '34-35 engine?

Hi Doug

The engine was rebuilt by Henry Body for a previous owner.The engine number is EV 315 which puts it at 1931, and he used the later barrels and heads - the bike is a bit of a dog's breakfast! But runs well.

That is just beautiful,and brings back happy memories of my first motorcycle.....the same model,and a 16th.birthday present in 1944.  :D

I believe Henry is only 76, but still exceeding 94 at the quarter mile from a standing start on his 1926 Douglas.  Chris.

Hi,
       Henry is 76 later this year, and at most meetings still manages to get in at least 1 run at around the 104 mph mark. This year, he celebrates 60 years of competitive motorcycling!
