S6 four speed gear box output shaft nut
« on: 22 Jun 2009 at 14:40 »
I only got half way round the Banbury Run (My first major run after the rebuild) when the sprocket retaining nuts on the gear box main came loose.
Can anyone suggest where I can get the thin 1" 26tpi nut (originally posted as 25tpi but more careful measurement shows 26 tpi which is cycle) that holds the final drive sprocket in  place?

I now have the hex bar and know someone who can cut such threads with precision.  I am now ruminating as to whether I can get away with not dismantling the gear box.
