Douglas TS23 original Dutch, questions
« on: 24 Sep 2008 at 11:05 »
Hello Douglas fanatics;

First of all, sorry for my bad English. :(
I've some questions about my (original Dutch) Douglas TS 23.
He (or is it she?) has always been in Holland and has still his original plates. (see pictures)
There is a complete history of this Douglas and i am the second owner.

He runs and so far i know he is completely original.
Maybe i want to make him (or is it her) look better.
Does anyone know if there are still original parts available for this Douglas?
If so, where can i buy those and is there perhaps a pricelist available?

The most difficult question i have to ask is what the value of a Douglas of this type is.
A price when he is in this shape and a price when he is in a state of new.
I know that it is difficult  to give an answer on this questions.
I need to have an approximately indication, then i know enough.
I think this forum, the douglasmotorcycles net, is the best place to ask it because here i can find the people with the most experience.
If i have an indication, then i can restore him or leave him in this state.

thanks.

grtz Heinz.

Hi Heinz
What a lovely original and complete find. A good range of spare parts is available for this model for members of the London Douglas Motor Cycle Club. Membership is only currently 12.00 a year and for this you get an informative and well produced bimonthly magazine, access to archive material, technical advice and much more including the spares scheme. You can get information and download joining instructions etc. from the Club Website www.douglasmotorcycles.co.uk    Chris.
