Brian's Mark V
« on: 07 Jun 2008 at 08:31 »
Received this email and photo from Brian Cape Town today.

The Mark V is finished and running, but not very smoothly. The carbs are somewhat worn, in particular the right hand one. I am going to the UK at the end of June and am going to try to make Stow. Would anyone in the UK know of the whereabouts of better versions of carbs that might be available?

I would like to thank you all for the information placed on this web site. It has been both helpful and at times disturbing, as I have realised I have been going down the wrong route. In particular my thanks to Eddie Turner and John Holmes.

Next job, to register for road use, an activity here in South Africa only to be undertaken by those souls who can maintain determination in the face of bureaucracy and whose blood pressure is under control. I think an extra pill might be required!!
