Have you tried the new Drafts feature yet? I just lost a long message today and learned my lesson. It is a good idea to save a draft of any long post you are writing. You can then just keep writing and keep saving a draft, knowing you have a backup if there is a glitch. The draft is automatically deleted when you post the message.

To all Douglas Motorcycle Enthusiasts.

Forum members and visitors who attended the closing dinner at the Australian Douglas Centenary Rally at Moss Vale, N.S.W., during April 2007 or have read the subsequent reports of that highly acclaimed venture will be aware that a decision was taken there and then in respect to the holding of further Douglas rallies. It was unaminously agreed that another rally should be held and that it should be held within about 18 months or two years from that time.

Forum member and winner of the Peoples' Choice award for the best bike on show at the ADCR, Peter Davey, volunteered to approach his MCC club about corporate support for a rally. As a result of Peter's negotiations, the Veteran Vintage & Classic Motorcycle Club of ACT (VVCMCC-ACT) has agreed to provide the necessary support. Peter has been appointed Rally Director to liaise between the Club and the Australian Douglas Rally 2008 Planning Group (ADRPG) which has since been assembled. The group comprises all of the members of the earlier ADCR Planning Committee and Peter.

Announcement:
The ADRPG is pleased to announce that the Australian Douglas Rally 2008 will be held in Canberra ACT from Tuesday 30 September to Saturday 4 October 2008, both days inclusive.

The hub for the rally will be the Canberra Carotel Motel & Caravan Park located on the Federal Highway at Watson, A.C.T.

Prospective entrants are advised that the ADRPG has prebooked a range of accommodation units at the Canberra Carotel Motel & Caravan Park on their behalf. See here for more details.
