Archie Allen's Douglas
« on: 23 Sep 2004 at 04:00 »
This picture shows Archie Allen's Douglas. Archie was once a Bristol Douglas Motorcycle dealer. His sister and friend are photographed aboard the bike. The picture is owned by a relative of Archie and he is looking for more information about the bike and about Archie himself. If anyone has any information at all can they please post it here for relay to Archie's relative in England.

The bike is believed to be a 1925 Douglas TS.  Can anyone verify this. If so and a comparison picture is available, please post it to this forum with your comments.

I have family related to Archie also, if they want to get in touch we could swap stories.

Hi,

Not so much a Douglas related reply, I know, but it does relate to Archie Allen.

I own an Austin 7 Aluminium bodied Special that was last registered to Archie Allen, Motorcycles & Cars, 109 Redcliff Hill, Bristol from 1955 to 1958. It is an unusual vehicle and if anyone can remember anything about it or knows of its history from around that period I would love to hear about it.
