First rally on the new bike
« on: 18 Feb 2007 at 05:09 »
I took the OC on a VMC rally today and was very impressed. I had decided I would not push too hard as I have been having a few teething problems. A friend who was following said we were doing about 50mph which isn't bad for taking it really easy !! No wonder these OHV Douglases were such popular competition bikes.

Hi Ian Congratulations. It must be very gratifying to complete a rally successfully after the long period of hard work to restore this wonderful machine. You must be very pleased.  Chris

Thanks Chris - yes I am pleased - and relieved !! A few teething problems - of most note the magneto back for rebuild. At least I know it is OK for the centenary rally.
