Fuel tanks
« on: 19 Sep 2006 at 09:24 »
Hi everybody ,
I am trying to clean out a fuel tank for a vintage Douglas motorcycle .
The petrol side is mainly varnish residue and the oil side very thick gunge both of which i am having trouble getting rid of ,not wanting to use anything too caustic which might damage the brass, solder,or other metales which might be involved , i wondered if any of you more experienced refurbishment grues had any magic poutions which would help with the above problems.
regards
Clive
