Frame number question
« on: 05 Sep 2006 at 01:09 »
When looking at my frame number I have noticed that there is a small circular hole just before the first number. I was wondering if that circular hole is meant to be there , or in my case has it been drilled for another reason. If so it may have obscured the first digit of the number. As it stands the frame falls into the 1912 period . It may however be later due to the missing digit lost because of the drilled hole. Thanks for your help in advance.

Are you talking about your 2.3/4 hp frame here? If so, the chances are that the details of the frame will be able to confirm whether it is 1912 or later. Do you have a photo of the frame you can post?
