Took advantage of the sunshine this afternoon and road the EW up over the Mendip Hills (Somerset).
There are some good roads across the top, fantastic views, stretching northwards to South Wales, westwards to the Quantocks and southerly well into Dorset.
After a stop to take on refreshments I dropped back down to Chew Vally Lake.
A large reservoir which one is able to ride threequarters of the way around, there is an abundance of wild life and sailing on the lake.
It was nice being acknowledged by some of the car drivers and modern bikers. All in all a very enjoyable afternoon covering some 60 mls, the Douglas not missing a beat.
