Henry Body.
« on: 05 Aug 2006 at 21:11 »
Hi you Dougie's, on reading an article by Doug in Identifying Douglas Motorcycles 1920-1930 the name of Henry Body was mentioned.
Henry attends The London Douglas Owners club nights Bristol section regularly and was recently made a life member. At the age of 71 he is still  competing in sprint meetings and at present is unbeaten in his class.
He underwent surgery for a replacement hip at the end of last year, so far this year he has improved on most of his times.
A grate character, he is always willing and helpfull.
It is thought that the combind age of man and machine is 148 years.
Roy Robinson.

i hope u all tap him for knowledge as I'm sure there is a wealth of Douglas material in his mind
it does seem strange that the London Douglas motorcycle club gave him life when he has already served 148 years lol
Maybe we should have a topic on Douglas legends and get some of there knowledge on paper or hard drive before we lose it for ever
I think Alwyn has already started on Fay Taylor an Australian legend
