Headlight identification

My brother Jonathan wants to identify this headlight. It has a "2" on the brass label.

Looks like its seriously in need of that wipeover with the proverbial oily rag !

During which, that makers embossed logo visible there should become readable.
It likely sez Lucas, or perhaps P&H, or or or.

Looks like the typical type around 1929 or 1930 or so, with that ammeter end mounted like that.
Quite sought after, especially if its still in working order !?

This is said to be a  Lucas SS47 headlight
