I am pretty desperate for a rear cylinder for my veteran Douglas 1917 2 3/4hp "W" model.   I there is anyone who may have one of these that can be re-sleeved or know where I may find one I would be very pleased for the help.  I have a number of engine parts that I can exchange such as matching crankcases, conrods, crankshaft, flywheel etc. Any help appreciated.

Does anyone have the specifications for the oil inlet valve spring for early 2 3/4 engines - Part number 424.   I have tried to order one from the club spares but apparently Jeff Swan is indisposed at the moment.

Sold by Gard Bros. in Adelaide in 1923 (It even has Gard Bros. painted on the tank, the only dealers in the word to put their names on the tank). I am the third owner of this bike from new.  It has never been dismantled or restored and is almost completely original. I don't think you'll find a more authentic bike of this type anywhere (even the 3 in Birdwood are made up from bits from different years). I rode it once about 25 years ago and it went well. I even have a set of original transfers (the scottsman) should you wish to restore it, but it is probably worth more unrestored. I'm asking $15,000 for it which is a lot, but this one is a once in a lifetime find. Phone 0401887769
