I am pretty desperate for a rear cylinder for my veteran Douglas 1917 2 3/4hp "W" model.   I there is anyone who may have one of these that can be re-sleeved or know where I may find one I would be very pleased for the help.  I have a number of engine parts that I can exchange such as matching crankcases, conrods, crankshaft, flywheel etc. Any help appreciated.

Does anyone have the specifications for the oil inlet valve spring for early 2 3/4 engines - Part number 424.   I have tried to order one from the club spares but apparently Jeff Swan is indisposed at the moment.

Can anyone help identify this gearbox found in an old barn which has been suggested came from a Douglas. It has  the marking PATENT H  5007 it's appears to be 2-speed with ratios of 1:1 or 1:0.6  the output shaft on the opposite side being lefthand thread and a  number 163 stamped on both castings. Hope the photo helps.

Most definitely a Douglas gearbox, but it is a 3 speed. It is from a 3 1/2hp or early 4hp machine with the cone clutch on the final drive side of the box. I'm sure there will be plenty of people interested in acquiring it!

Hello All, From where I looked on ebay the said 4 hp box has expired with out a bid. Like I say A $ 400 would have been the price I would have paid had the location been in Aust or NZ. I am in no hurry one will come one day or an alternate transplant will take place. regards Alan
