I am pretty desperate for a rear cylinder for my veteran Douglas 1917 2 3/4hp "W" model.   I there is anyone who may have one of these that can be re-sleeved or know where I may find one I would be very pleased for the help.  I have a number of engine parts that I can exchange such as matching crankcases, conrods, crankshaft, flywheel etc. Any help appreciated.

Does anyone have the specifications for the oil inlet valve spring for early 2 3/4 engines - Part number 424.   I have tried to order one from the club spares but apparently Jeff Swan is indisposed at the moment.

Can anyone confirm what is the correct Lucas rear lamp for a Mark V. I've found an MT 110 online which is a reproduction and has both stop and tail. Presumably the original was a tail light only. Would this be the correct lamp? Thanks

Hello Roy,

I think the MT 211 is the right lamp. You can get it also as a replica and it has the same measures for the hole in the  number plate.
The original has stop light only; no problem to use only one contact and/ or other lamp.

Hi Roy,
According to my Lucas catalogue, Taillight MT211 was fitted 1947-50. It was then superceded by taillight number 480 for years 1951 -54. The MT211 had the Lucas part number of 53056 (same as in the Mark parts book) - the later lamp has the Lucas part number 53140.
  Hope this helps,
     Regards,
                  Eddie.
