I am pretty desperate for a rear cylinder for my veteran Douglas 1917 2 3/4hp "W" model.   I there is anyone who may have one of these that can be re-sleeved or know where I may find one I would be very pleased for the help.  I have a number of engine parts that I can exchange such as matching crankcases, conrods, crankshaft, flywheel etc. Any help appreciated.

Does anyone have the specifications for the oil inlet valve spring for early 2 3/4 engines - Part number 424.   I have tried to order one from the club spares but apparently Jeff Swan is indisposed at the moment.

The number on the magneto dates it to 1912 - if you have a look at a catalogue illustration of the 1912 Douglas you'll see the horizontal advance/retard cable that characterises the Arc Light. Interesting that the Bosch name does not appear on the magneto. I suspect the mag was used in 1912, but that it was replaced for 1913(?) models with the more common Bosch ZA2.

Turns freely, seems unmolested, needs a bit of fiddling and a few parts for the advance/retard mechanism,  and a new points cover. Very rare.

$A300, or a near offer.

Here's one in place on a 1912 Model G, showing how the advance/retard cable connects to the magneto. The bike was sold at Yesterdays http://www.yesterdays.nl/douglas-1912-p-1339.html

No interest?

I also have three EIC magnetos, suit TS, mostly complete but in need of rebuild, $A100 ea + postage.

Do you have any 1913 parts?  I need a bit of everything.  Carb, pistons, Mag (ZA2), rims/hubs, non-clutch gearbox and other items.

No to most, but I can do a ZA2.

That said, I'm about to pass a pile of Douglas magneto stuff (E.I.C., Bosch Arc Light, Bosch ZA2, B.T.H. M2 racing, etc.) on to a person who restores magnetos. If you drop me an email - use the "envelope" icon - I will put you in touch: it may be better for you to buy a fully reconditioned magneto ready to fit to the bike.

Ditto for other magnetos. D-day is Friday.
