I am pretty desperate for a rear cylinder for my veteran Douglas 1917 2 3/4hp "W" model.   I there is anyone who may have one of these that can be re-sleeved or know where I may find one I would be very pleased for the help.  I have a number of engine parts that I can exchange such as matching crankcases, conrods, crankshaft, flywheel etc. Any help appreciated.

Does anyone have the specifications for the oil inlet valve spring for early 2 3/4 engines - Part number 424.   I have tried to order one from the club spares but apparently Jeff Swan is indisposed at the moment.

Hi All

Something for the you guys to comment on, purchased these at the weekend, didn't realise i got the engine, hidden in a box under fuel tanks, so what is it.

the second item is a carb and manifold of about 1910/11, however my guess is it is for a stationary engine due to the controls on top of the carb, i purchased it as i am looking for a manifold for 1911 Model "D", having now offered it up to the engine i find it it 2" to long, so did they produce an engine with a longer stroke.

awaiting your knowledgable posts

It is the carburetor for the stationary engine. I have the same that came with a 1918 4hp (600cc) engine; big brother to the 2-3/4hp. I am not aware that style manifold ever being used on the bigger engines (even the 3-1/2hp). I does certainly look like the manifold for the 1910-12 2-3/4hp, but the longer length is a mystery.
