Title: T 35 oil pressure
Post by: CooperS on 03 Aug 2019 at 20:43
I am nearing completion of my 1947 Mk1 and would like to monitor the oil pressure when I first start the engine. Any suggestions?

Thanks.

There is a blanking screw in the bottom of the vertical oilway in the front crankcase half (originally a cheese head screw with a screwdriver slot). You could replace it with a connector to an oil pressure gauge. You'll only need a gauge that reads up to about 20 psi - I doubt that the pressure will go that high - Mr Douglas reckoned about 6 - 9 lbs psi for the Mark series on a warm engine..

   Regards,
                  Eddie.
