Hi Bynorthsea

Can't say I can recommend any clear spray lacquer. When I was painting my Mark 5 I used clear lacquer (not 2k) over the transfer on the rear mudguard and much to my annoyance it wrinkled. Had to remove the transfer and rub down the mudguard again to repair the damage. Once the paint and lacquer had dried I then applied a new transfer and then carefully brushed over the transfer with Humbrol clear lacquer - small 14ml tin for model making. This proved successful. Hopefully someone else may have had more success with spray lacquer other than 2k

Hi
I have never used a spray on lacquer, always had a tin of clear varnish and a decent small paintbrush.
A tip given to me by my uncle (who is a traditional sign writer) was to gently warm the varnish to get a better coat.
(just dont use the wife's best pan like my late Father did   :o)
