Title: Lever brake and clutch
Post by: Roys rider on 08 Dec 2016 at 19:16
Question: What is the radius (bolt to nipple centres) of a Dragonfly brake and clutch lever? My complete machine has 7/8" as does a Norton however some NOS items supposedly for a Dragonfly are 1 & 1/8". Any ideas?
Thanks in advance.

Hi,
I have just checked the levers on my Dragonfly - they are the originals that were fitted in 1955! The distance (pivot to nipple) is 1 1/16" ctrs. The blades are 6" overall with the tip 5 1/2" from the bars when at rest. Full travel of the clutch lever gives a cable movement of 15/16".
  Hope this helps,
                          Regards,
                                       Eddie.

Thank you very much Eddie. Very interesting - may explain why my running bike  has a dicky clutch.
Cheers
