Title: EW350 BRAKES.
Post by: ccew350 on 05 Feb 2010 at 19:14
Hi all. Has anybody got any spare brake operating spindles/arms for a EW350. These parts are delaying my restoration.
Failing availability, has anybody got any drawings/dimensions which could help.
Many thanks. Colin.

Colin,

I have a drawing for the 1934 big twin  brake arm. I can alter the drawing using the brake operating lever of my EW600 as a pattern; it shared same part number with the EW350. It is only the arm that is different (shorter and not offset), the spindles and affixing bolt would be the same. I think all the operating shafts of the servo band brake models shared a common length.

Doug. Thanks very much that would be a great help if you can.
It's always difficult when you don't have a pattern to know what it's like.
Regards, Colin.

Hi...I have a 1934 Comet that is currently lying idle  in the shed...you can borrow the bits from the machine...if you wish to have replicas manufactured. I think they are the same.

I commute from Gloucester to london every week...and work in Sunbury not that far from Gildford if you wish to meet up.

Give me an email and we can discuss
