Title: chain guard transfer pre-war

Well,................................ The last thing I needed to do in restoring my Douggy was to apply the chain case transfer to my 1930 Douglas S6. I received it from Vintage Motorcycle Club, followed all the directions and low and behold you can't put a flat transfer on a spherical surface..........Though it was me, and bought 2 more to give it a go...............................So,........no success,..definitely not me............I had the transfer digitally scanned and placed on a self adhesive professional backing that are used in the sign shops here in the States. It sticks right on... has a clearer finish........and then you just heat it with a Hair dryer and it shrinks to the surface...........PERFECT APPLICATION...CLEARER THAN A TRANSFER ...NO LACQUER REQUIRED..

I have a number of these ( had to buy a minimum) and only one Douggy so if you need one email me and we can discuss it.

Joel,
       You will find that there was 2 versions of the primary chainguard - one with a true dome and the other with a flat topped 'dome'. As far as I am aware, the round transfer was applied to the version with the flat dome, but because of the curvature, the other version had the 'Scotsman holding engine' transfer, which, of course, is much easier to apply.
