Title: HT Cable
Post by: ste on 24 Aug 2015 at 19:20
Can anyone tell me where to buy suitable cable for the spark plug leads on a TS?
Also, are the original style fittings for the spark plugs available anywhere?

Hi Stephan, try the green spark plug cohttp://www.gsparkplug.com/ignition

I have bought leads and ends from the for various douglas.as well as some Champion 6COM plugs, NOS, still wrapped in original packaging as supplied to the military, excellent find,, slack body plugs look so much better than moden plated plugs.

Thanks Chris, brilliant as always you are. I don't suppose you would have a picture of the original fittings please?

Hi Stephen,
You could try Veteran and Vintage Spares in Auckland. They did have new old style yellow/black/red striped cloth HT lead and terminals that they sold for their Model As. I have used it on my veteran Enfield and it looks good. Number is 09-832 9818. Cheers Ian.

Or you could also go here   http://www.basisnz.co.nz/Products/Mechanical/Ignition/HT-Lead-%28135-1601%29.aspx (ftp://www.basisnz.co.nz/Products/Mechanical/Ignition/HT-Lead-%28135-1601%29.aspx)  as they seem to have some of the earlier type lead as well. Cheers.
