Post by: Harzza on 26 Jan 2026 at 12:23
Hi,
does anyone know how thick the Mark V clutch thrust of plate is ?
I am going to have to have it made of phenolic laminate.
Is tse phenoliv laminate the best replacement for tufolite ?

Another guestion, someone recently mentioned that they are starting to manufacture tank caps again. Have you heard anythig absut this ?
I am missin a tank cap and meny other parts

LDMCC post-war spares have had tank caps remanufactured and they are currently in stock.

The original thrust discs were 1/8" thick (3.2mm). The discs had a plain bore but were radiused on one side of the O.D. to clear the radius in the pressed steel plate. Originally, Douglas listed a steel shim to go under the thrust plate, but I have never actually come across one fitted on a working clutch.
