Dragonfly misfire
« on: 08 Aug 2011 at 17:05 »
Hello Eddie,
Thought it best to address this to you as nobody in the club seems to love me.  On a test ride recently there was a slight misfire at low revs.  On playing about with the pilot screw this afternoon I realised it is the offside cylinder causing the problem, that is where the misfire is, accompanied with a bit of blue smoke.  It appears to clear with a bit of throttle, but I am not happy with it.  I did check the tappets, they are spot on.  I am suspecting the valves need grinding in even though there is plenty of compression.  Look forward to hearing yours and anyone Else's suggestions.
                                   Regards,
                                                         Les
