Have you tried the new Drafts feature yet? I just lost a long message today and learned my lesson. It is a good idea to save a draft of any long post you are writing. You can then just keep writing and keep saving a draft, knowing you have a backup if there is a glitch. The draft is automatically deleted when you post the message.

Folks, with only a month to go to the big event I thought I would update you with latest progress

The official closing date for entries has passed and we have exceeded our target of 50 entrants which is great. Please be aware that you can still send in an entry if you have a last minute desire to attend but you will not be able to order shirts or caps. You will also have to pay a $10 late fee.

We have an amazing array of machines entered from a 1905 Fairey through to the last model built. Many interesting machines in between as well including quite a contingent of 20's OHV bikes. Of course there are many 2.75hp bikes from veterans through to the last built.

Notable entries include Doug from the USA and Chris from the UK - both well known to members of this forum and LDMCC members. They will be giving short talks at the Formal Dinner.

Those who have entered (except very recent ones) should have received their receipts and an information letter in the post. If you have not please contact Alwyn or me.

If you have not been able to enter the rally but can set aside some time during the period the bikes will be on display at Mittagong RSL Club on the Wednesday lunchtime and Robertson Pie Shop on the Friday lunchtime - please feel free to come and have a look. The Thursday lunch is at a private property but if that is the only day you can come and look please contact me privately and I will let you know details.

Thats all for now - we just have to go and enjoy this historic event. .....Ian
