What is this ? EW 1926

I dont know what are these screw and nut under the engine of my EW 1926.
I think that some one here could explain me.

Hi, looks as if someone has blanked off the drain hole.
The EW engine uses a total loss oil system. Some add a pipe to the drive chain for lubrication.

That is where a stand pipe would screw in. Any oil above that level in the timing chest would drain off and be lead via a pipe over to the inside, lower run of the primary chain.

That is exactly what it is.

Begin a total loss oiling system, there should never be a tremendous amount of used oil in the crank case compartment. Just enough to have a bit for the connecting rods to whip about. But if the oil pump were to leak and allow the contents of the oil tank to drain into the engine or you wanted to flush out the oil in the engine, you would use that drain plug.
