EW350 Piston Ring Gap
« on: 19 Apr 2023 at 09:54 »
Hi All, not been on here for a while as the restoration project stalled while I was having work done on my house.  However, I'm starting again and am now at the stage of re-assembling the engine.  I am fitting new pistons from a Honda 750 four, which have been machined to fit (re-profiled crown and enlarged gudgeon pins).  I can't find a figure for the piston ring gap that would be required on the original pistons let alone a figure for the pistons that I'm using.  An advice would be greatly appreciated.

Radco suggests a gap of 0.003" per inch of bore.
