What do you think about thisdouglas project?   In my opinion front fork and wheel is not from this bike .  I will be grateful for some honest opinion.

Yes you'd expect the fork springs to be on the outside.

These 4hp machines are quite a beastie, not come across them much before.

Definitely not the correct forks and front wheel. It would be interesting to find out what the frame and engine numbers are, only because the 3 blue panels on the petrol tank suggest it may be earlier than 1917
