cylinder bore
« on: 30 Jul 2020 at 06:41 »
Hi can anybody tell me what the original cylinder diameter was for the 1934 Model Z 600 as all I can find are the piston diameters for the general 600 range

Thanks
Chris

The model Z (600cc engine) is 68mm bore x 82mm stroke.

Thanks for that Eddie I thought they should be 68 the problem I have is both pistons and bores on my model Z engine are 70mm diameter so either horrendously over-bored or not the correct cylinders.

The Z1 (750cc) is 76 x 82 bore and stroke, so it is not fitted with those cylinders. Must be bored out Z.

Thanks for the info I think I have have to look at my options now, can I get original type 4 ring pistons of the correct size in which case get them sleeved down or go with what I've got and get pistons to fit as they are.
Anybody know of a supplier of these 4 ring type out there?
