EW 350 CRANK TIMING GEAR
« on: 12 Mar 2012 at 14:18 »
Hello all,

I have started to assemble my 1926 EW Douglas and work has ground to a halt because the little crankshaft timing gear has gone missing. "House does not steal, but it hides" is an old Italian saying, but so true. Does anyone have a spare? A good original or maybe a good reproduction gear to spare? I can pay by paypal. Otherwise I have to indulge in making the missing gear. The camgears were originally raw untempered steel, but I think the little gear would perhaps need case hardening and tempering as it must have a hard life because of smaller diametre.  Can anyone advise on this please?
