Air release valve spring
« on: 20 Feb 2011 at 05:56 »
I'm just about to put the TS engine back together and I'm looking at the spring for the air release valve that goes in the end of the crankshaft. The one I have seems too strong as all it has to do is hold a ball against a seat but then again it did seem to work as the cams and lifters are in good shape. Does anyone have dimensions for one?

Hi Carcrank
The correct tapered spring for this application together with a new 1/4" ball is available from the LDMCC Pre-war spares scheme  for members of the LDMCC.
  Chris.
