Have you tried the new Drafts feature yet? I just lost a long message today and learned my lesson. It is a good idea to save a draft of any long post you are writing. You can then just keep writing and keep saving a draft, knowing you have a backup if there is a glitch. The draft is automatically deleted when you post the message.

Sorry about my bad bad english!

I am a new in this forum.

I found stationary engine and i think, maby its some Douglas 2 3/4.









Engine rotating, valves moving, some compression also. Wrong soviet magneto.

Now i thinking what to do with this motor and its this worth for restauration...

Looks like a Douglas WW1 gen-set engine for a Marconi wireless, based on the 2-3/4hp motorcycle engine. These were also made under license by Bosch up until hostilities broke out (and presumably after without paying royalties!) The Douglas engine will have "Douglas" cast on the face of the crankcase, hidden behind the flywheel. I seem to recall the Bosh units had their name on theirs too. On the timing side I think, but can not remember for certain. There was a picture of one sent in to the Douglas Club magazine a number of years back that was discovered in France.

On my "THE DOUGLAS" cast up and "1914" under shaft.

Similar. This is a slightly different variation; note how it sits on a much higher base than yours.
