Wanted , a Gearbox for a Douglas S6

Has anyone in the UK got a S6 Gearbox that they would like to sell ?

I have been looking for a replacement gearbox for my T6, (preferring the four speed) for over a year and have now given up looking, the gearbox on my T6 is very noisy in third but having the box apart three or four times I can find nothing wrong so I am riding the bike as it is but I try to avoid the use of third gear.
I did buy a set of shafts and gears from a forum member but they were rusted rubbish and only good for door stops, I wish you good luck with your search.

Hell has officially frozen over , after looking for one for the last 28 years I have finally managed to find a gearbox. Its the later 4 speed gearbox so I am going to have to swap some of the linkage system to get it to work.

Colin , I might have a lead on another gearbox so I will send the contact info over to you, you mention that your in Swansea , its a small world , I am just a few miles away from you in the Bridgend area.

I need to make a list up of the other bits that I need to get this bike back on the road so will put up another post when I work out what I need. If there is anyone out there with a pile of S6 bits to sell / swap or trade I have a gearbox here to fit a DT 600 that I will swap for S6 parts
