Douglas cam "5B"
« on: 19 Jun 2022 at 06:22 »
Found this poor thing in the shed, labelled with the Douglas "DK" trademark and "5B".

What's it from? If it's common, the gear damage will likely send it to the bin...

Sorry - should've typed "5b" in the search box before I posted! Although 5B sounds a bit exotic, it seems it is of the most boring variety of 2 3/4 cam... it's into the bin unless someone wants to pay the postage.

Never throw anything away !?
Next week, someone will be looking for one. !

Is the cam(s) pressed into the gear, or vice versa ?
Looks like there is a shaft within a shaft.
Could they be pressed apart, and united with a better one ?
