Dave Coles RIP
« on: 16 Dec 2020 at 14:02 »
We have been informed by Bill Douglas that sadly Dave Coles passed away last Saturday. Dave was in a care home at the time and died as a result of Coronavirus. For those of you who new Dave will be aware that he owned the 1949 Red Douglas Racer and at one time he also owned the very early Dragonfly ODF 665 which was referred to in a recent post.

So sad. Especially the circumstances. Will never forget when we sat next to each other at the auction bidding for that bike.

Very sad news. I met David when I joined the LDMCC some years ago. A real gentleman.
The "Red Racer" was his pride and joy.
Sincere condolences to al his family and friends.

That's sorry news. I met Dave a few times at the club and Cavalcades and he was a really nice bloke. He did a lot for the club and was a big part of it. Douglas has lost one of its stalwarts and Dave wil be very much missed.
