Brake Plate springs
« on: 03 Sep 2020 at 15:43 »
Hi all,

Does anyone know if the club spares scheme can supply the 4 off springs that go between the brake plate and the brake band for the 20's and 30's machines.
I have just had a price from a spring specialist and they are a bit steep as it is a minimum order, so I don't mind waiting once the spares scheme is up and running again

Cheers
Tony

Hi Tony

I can't say what's in stock as I don't know, but if you look at page 3 of the current Conrod the pre war spares should be up and running by the beginning of next month so hopefully you can hold off until then.

All the best

Roy

Hi Tony

I knew I had read it somewhere. On page 36 of the March/April 2017 Conrod Dick Bradley said - We have in stock for all pre-war machines every spring for valve, clutch, fork, saddle, kick-start and brake return. So hopefully if you hang until next month you will get what you need.
