B29 Oil Change
«

I changed the oil in the B29 today. I had to remove the entire oil pump to drain the oil sump. Is this the correct procedure or is there a drain plug somewhere else that I must have missed?

Thank you Michael, I guess the oil change is also a good time to clean the oil pump screen too.

One other question, does the oil pump have a red fiber washer that seals it to the bottom of the oil sump?

Thanks Michael, I will add it to my list of parts for the LDMCC. I did get it sealed with the old washer after I cleaned up the sealing surfaces on the washer.

I think the old washer will do, if the surfaces are still good.
I use straight W50 oil for the engine.
